PURPOSE: A driving method in a digital signal processor using a pipeline memory is provided to make a program address coincide with data of a pipeline memory in the digital signal processor using the pipeline memory. CONSTITUTION: Data(DOUT) corresponding to a program address(ADD_out) of the digital signal processor can be read in the digital signal processor by applying addresses(n+1,n+2,n+3)(ADD_mem) in advance larger than the program address by 1 to the pipeline memory when the program address increases to n, n+1 and n+2. When the program address does not increase sequentially and commands like jump or call are detected, the program address of the digital signal processor can coincide with the data(DOUT) from the pipeline memory equally to the normal operation, by operating the digital signal processor after generating a memory address(ADD_mem) corresponding to the next new address, after making the digital signal process not operate by stopping a clock signal(CLK) applied to the digital signal processor.
