PURPOSE: A pulse generator is provided to supply a constant range of signals by passing input signals only with waveform of logic High and blocking other signals of logic Low. CONSTITUTION: In the pulse generator, an initialization controller(510) determines the initialization conditions responding to a power-up control signal(/pwr_up). An edge detector(520) detects the rising edge or the falling edge of the externally input clock signal(in). A latch(530) constantly latches the potential of the output terminal(N1) of the initialization controller(510). A delay(540) delays selectively only signals of logic Low from the latch(530). A post charger(550) post charges the potential of the output terminal of the latch(530) responding to a delay signal from the delay(540). An input controller(560) controls whether to pass the next signal from the edge detector(520) responding to the status of the previous input clock signal(in). An output unit(570) supplies pulses within a constant range of periods.
