METHOD FOR RELEASING SUPPLEMENTARY CHANNEL IN CODE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for releasing supplementary channel in a code division multiple access mobile communication system is provided to transit active state to control hold state, suspended state or dormant state immediately upon release of supplemental channel. CONSTITUTION: A method for releasing supplementary channel in a code division multiple access mobile communication system includes following steps. When release request for the supplementary channel is generated during data communication through the supplementary channel, base station transmits the first message for state transition. A mobile station analyzes the first message, releases the supplementary channel and transits to predetermined state. After that the mobile station transmits the second message indicative of the release of the supplementary channel to the base station. The base station receives the second message and transits to the state.
