PURPOSE: A method for controlling an exchange between terminals in a full electronic exchange system is provided to directly control the exchange system in the terminals without an expensive workstation, by using MMC(Man & Machine Command) data. CONSTITUTION: If a terminal(100) requests an MMC(Man & Machine Command) handling call to an NRCF(Number and Route Control Function)(102), the NPCF requests an MMC handling to a TMHF(Telephone MMC Handling Function)(104). The TMHF(104) requests a password input to the terminal(100), and decides whether a password is inputted from the terminal(100). If so, the TMHF(104) requests an MMC input to the terminal(100), and decides whether an MMC is inputted. If so, the TMHF(104) requests an MMC parsing to an AMI(ATM Management Interface) parser(106). MMC data parsed in the AMI parser(106) are transmitted to an HANDCF(HMI Adaptation and Delivery Control Function)(108). The HANDCF(108) transmits the MMC data to a corresponding block.
