[Also in Division F2] In a mixing apparatus for polyurethane resins each liquid or pasty ingredient is supplied through a conduit as at 12 to a valve having its seat formed in the chamber wall, such that when the frusto-conical valve member 6 is closed the inner surface of the chamber is substantially continuous and there is no restricted passage between the valve and the chamber. The valve has an electro-mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic actuator 9 and is sealed by a diaphragm 2 of metal, rubber or synthetic resin, preferably PTFE.</p> |
