PURPOSE: A call system having a RAM disk is provided to remove a call bottleneck phenomenon frequently occurring at a time zone of traffic by implementing a system for storing a voice signal inputted from an external source on a real time basis and making it back up to a hard disk at a time point where a data bus is required by using a RAM disk. CONSTITUTION: A line interface unit(10) connects a plurality of office line call lines connected to a PSTN and a plurality of extension call lines and outputs a voice signal inputted through the PSTN from an external caller to one of exchangers(20,30). The exchangers(20,30) are installed between the line interface unit(10) and a signal converter(40) and input and output the voice signal. The exchangers(20,30) include switching units(21,31) switched in response to a switching control signal inputted from CPUs(22,32) to output the voice signal inputted through the line interface unit(10) to the signal converter(40) and output a voice signal inputted through the signal converter(40) through the line interface unit(10) to the office line or the extension line, and CPUs(22,32) communicating with a host CPU(60) to output data stored in a RAM disk(50) to a hard disk(70) and output the switching control signal to the switching units(21,31). The signal converter(40) compresses the voice signal inputted through a CT-BUS and outputs it to the RAM disk(50), and expands and outputs the voice signal inputted from the RAM disk(50). The RAM disk(50) has a standard CT interface, temporarily stores the voice signal compressed by the signal converter(40), and outputs the temporarily stored voice signal to the hard disk(70) in response to the control signal inputted from the CPUs(22,32). In addition, the RAM disk(50) outputs the previously stored voice signal through the line interface unit(10) to the office line call line in response to the control signal inputted from the CPUs(22,32). The host CPU(60) controls to output the voice signal temporarily stored in the RAM disk(50) to the hard disk(70) in response to the signal inputted according to a user's manipulation, and controls to output the pre-set voice signal through the office line call line and the PSTN to an external caller if the office line call line is connected.
