PURPOSE: Provided are an olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer composition, which is excellent in a tensile strength, a breaking elongation, and a compression permanent set, and a process for producing the composition. CONSTITUTION: The olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer composition comprises: (A) 10-60pts.wt. of an crystalline polyolefin resin; (B) 88-38pts.wt. of an ethylene/alpha-olefin/non-conjugated polyene copolymer rubber, which is crosslinked and copolymerized in the presence of a metallocene catalyst and contains the ethylene units and C3-C20 alpha-olefin units in the molar ratio of 40:60-95:5 and has an iodine value of 1-50 and an intrinsic viscosity of 1.0-10dl/g at 135deg.C in decalin; (C) 20-30pts.wt. of at least one rubber selected from polyisobutylene, butyl rubber, and propylene/ethylene copolymer rubber containing a propylene content of more than 50mol%.
