PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for vehicle information gathering which can gather and take statistics of current vehicle state information surely and continuously in detail and in real time. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle position is found and gathered with a reflected signal of a position signal sent from an antenna 3 provided for a vehicle 1 to an artificial satellite, and vehicle control information or vehicle component state information is sent from the antenna 3 to an artificial satellite 4 to receive the signal reflected by the artificial satellite 4 or a transmit signal sent from the vehicle by DSRC 8 (dedicated narrow-band communication) or via a radio communication device such as a portable telephone 12 is received and gathered, thereby gathering individual vehicle state information in real time.
