PURPOSE: To provide a semiconductor integrated circuit which can reduce power consumption, while reducing of the occupation area of chip. CONSTITUTION: This semiconductor integrated circuit comprises an operational amplifier 1, inverter IV1, ring oscillator 2, charge pump 3, capacitance voltage dividing circuit 4 consisting of capacitors C1, C2, first resistance voltage dividing circuit 5 consisting of resistors R1, R2, transistor switch SW1 connected between the resistors R1, R2 and transistor switch SW2 connected between the voltage output terminals of the capacitance voltage-dividing circuit 4 and the first resistance voltage-dividing circuit 5. At waiting conditions in which the charge pump 3 does not operate pumping of the voltage, the transistor switches SW1, SW2 are turned off, and thereby a current does not flow into the first resistance voltage dividing circuit 5 and a pumped voltage Vpp is detected only with the capacitance voltage-dividing circuit 4, and thereby the power consumption in waiting condition can be reduced.
