PURPOSE: A separation type handset apparatus of a separation type wireless local loop terminal and its control method are provided to make an emergency call previously set by a handset connected to a separation type WLL(Wireless Local Loop) and temporarily answer a phone when a phone set is ringing even if a general phone set is damaged in an emergency situation. CONSTITUTION: When a handset is picked up, a serial port and a vocoder of a separation type WLL are switched to the handset(ST11). When a reservation speed button of the handset is depressed, a GPIO(General Purpose Input/Output) port allocated to each button is activated, and a CPU of the handset transmits a serial data to the separation type WLL terminal(ST12). A main processor of the separation type WLL terminal receives the serial data and makes a phone call with a previously reserved phone number so that a call can be connected(ST13,ST14).
