<p>PURPOSE: A method for polymerizing a cohesive polymer in the presence of a treated carbon black, its polymer and the treated carbon black are provided, to decrease the unfavorable sticking/adsorption of polymer products. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises polymerization of sticky polymer in the presence of a catalyst and using carbon black as an inert particulate matter and is characterized by polymerizing in the presence of the carbon black treated with a component selected from the group consisting of sulfur donors, oxidizing agents and their mixtures. The carbon black is treated with a sulfur donor selected from the group consisting of H2S, SO2, CS2, P2S5 and SOCl2; an aqueous HNO3 solution at a temperature of 50-400 deg.C; ozone or ozone-containing gas at a temperature of 25-200 deg.C; or a hot wind of 300-700 deg.C. The produced polymer is selected from the group consisting of ethylene-propylene-diene, polybutadiene, polyisoprene and styrene-butadiene rubber.</p> |
