The depilatory strip (1) has a design (2) on its surface which changes to indicate when it is in contact with depilatory wax or a pre-coated waxing strip on the skin. The design may be in a thermochromic ink whose color changes at 20, -40 deg C. An Independent claim is included for a method for removing hair using the strip.
