PURPOSE: A composition containing beta-sitosterol as an effective component and obtained by separating from aloe, maize or wheat germ is provided, which has an effect on promoting the formation of a blood vessel, curing and preventing arthritis. CONSTITUTION: This composition for promoting the formation of a blood vessel, curing and preventing arthritis is obtained by extracting aloe, maize or wheat germ and contains beta-sitosterol as an effective ingredient. The composition contains additionally one or more pharmaceutically acceptable salts. For an example, the composition as a tablet comprises 10mg beta-sitosterol, 285mg lactose, 5mg magnesium stearate, and 25mg calcium carboxymethylcellulose.
