PURPOSE: A valve mounting structure of an internal combustion engine is provided to simplify the structure and the assembling for reducing the working time and guarantee the transmission of the rotation force of a valve spring to the valve without any slip loss, thereby improving the dynamic characteristics of the valve train and the durability of the engine. CONSTITUTION: A valve mounting structure of an internal combustion engine includes a plurality of pin grooves(28) formed at an upper end of an inner diameter part of a retainer(26), a pin hole(30) formed in a valve stem part of the valve, and a pin(32) to be secured on one of the pin grooves by penetrating the pin hole, wherein the pin grooves are formed symmetrically with a width complementary to the size of the pins.
