PURPOSE: A device for connecting a power source is provided to prevent a socket from being separated when a plug is inserted into a socket and to reduce a force for inserting/extracting to the socket. CONSTITUTION: A main body(8) of a socket(2) is separated as a two branches from a center portion being connected to a power line. If the both end portions of the main body(8) are pressed, the main body is elastically separated toward the exterior. A pocket unit(13) is formed at the central space portion of the separated portion. A terminal(10) being inserted and fixed at both end portions of the main body(8) has an engaging rod(12) being grounded toward the exterior. An insulation material(33) is covered at the circumferential surface of the terminal(10) except the engaging rod(12) portion. A terminal insertion unit(18) of a plug(4) is formed the width thereof is gradually narrowed from the upper portion to the lower portion, and thus the unit(18) endows the terminal(10) with an elastic force and makes an engaging unit(20) engage the engaging rod(12) elastically. A terminal supporting unit(28) is formed at the one side portion of the terminal insertion unit(18) for maintaining an insertion state of the socket(2) into the plug(4) at power off state. The terminal supporting unit(28) is portion vertically formed at the central portion of terminal insertion unit(18), and the engaging rod(12) is inserted into the terminal supporting unit(28).
