PURPOSE: A method for connecting data communication between radio communication terminals is provided to stably transmit and receive a file without a TCP/IP stack in a terminal by stably connecting a data call by using a TCP/IP mounted at a terminal and using the TCP/IP of the terminal in transmission and reception of the file between terminals. CONSTITUTION: A modem instruction word, 'AT+CRM=133', for data communication between radio communication terminals connected to a terminal is received from a user and inputted to a radio communication terminal(301). It is determined whether the radio communication terminal can process 'AT+CRM=133'(302). If the radio communication terminal is not able to process 'AT+CRM=133', an error indication is displayed for the user to inform that a data communication between radio communication terminals is not possible(303). If the radio communication terminal is able to process 'AT+CRM=133', a processing capability indication is displayed for the user(304), and 'ATDT destination terminal number' form is received from the user and inputted to the radio communication terminal(305) through the terminal(305). The radio communication terminal originates a call with a service option 0x8003 and attempts a data communication call connection(306). A call connection request message is transmitted through a transmitting base station/exchanger and a receiving base station/exchanger to the radio communication terminal of the other party, and as the radio communication terminal of the receiving party is ringing, call is terminated(307). RLP negotiation and a TCP/IP negotiation are made between the caller terminal and the receiver's terminal and a PPP connection is made(308). A data communication is made as being connected by the TCP/IP mounted at the caller terminal and the receiver's terminal(309).
