PURPOSE: To provide a game system capable of safely maintaining the identity of information given by a game having continuity. CONSTITUTION: This game system comprises a game machine body 3 for competing the grow-up ability of an owned horse with the ability of another horse, paying a game value to the competition result and holding grow-up information at the time when a player interrupts the grow-up of a set character in linkage with a player ID and an entry gate 2 for recording date information on an entry card (recording medium) 1 held by the player for permitting the use of the game machine body 3. The continuous grow-up after the interruption using grow-up information held before is permitted only when date information recorded on the entry card 1 corresponds to date information set in the game machine body 3.
