The safety cylinder comprises a rotor (2) and a stator (1). The rotor has a key passage (3) and a rotor pin (4) which slides in a radial housing (7). The stator has a stator pin (35) which slides in a radial housing (10) emerging in the stator internal cylindrical surface. The stator pin is pushed by a spring (11) towards the rotor. An anti-lock picking means limits the rotation of the rotor in the absence of the correct key. These means comprise on the rotor or stator pin a projecting stud (35a) with limited movement which engenders an additional limited sliding between the rotor and the stator.
