A device moves laths vertically in a Jacquard loom. The device has a continuously rotating input shaft with a cam driving two superposed parallel drive shafts. Each drive shaft has rocker arms fixed to it and these are connected to the laths. The cam may have two tracks. Each drive shaft has two followers; one for each track. The cams and followers are at the ends of their shafts and encased in an oil bath. Each lath is connected to two rocker arms that are on different drive shafts. An adjacent lath is connected to the opposite ends of the same two rocker arms
