PURPOSE: A backlight assembly for a liquid crystal display device is to prevent a pollution of sheets and a scratch thereof, thereby improving a productivity and a reliability. CONSTITUTION: The backlight assembly(100) comprises a mold frame(110) having housings, a reflective plate(130), a light guide plate(140), a plurality of sheets(150), a sheet guide(160) and an LCD panel(180). The reflective plate disposed at the base of the housings reflects the light, and the light guide plate disposed at the top face of the reflective plate guides the light. The sheets disposed at the top face of the light guide plate diffuse and integrate the guided light. The sheet guide is installed within the mold frame in a state that the sheets are simultaneously stacked and fixed. The LCD panel displays information using the light transmitted from the fixed sheets. The sheet guide which is formed in a C-shaped encapsulates the stacked sheets along the edges of the uppermost sheet and the lowest sheet thereof. |
