PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL FOR PREVENTING FIELD SPREADING

PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to prevent field spreading by concentrating electric field to the discharge space in the PDP. CONSTITUTION: In a plasma display panel, front electrode group(3,4) are composed of an X holding electrode and a Y holding electrode. A black stripe(10) is formed outside the X holding electrode and the Y holding electrode. An dielectric layer(11) having a high dielectric constant is provided, wherein a dielectric layer of a front substrate(1) is formed on the upper plane between the X holding electrode and the Y holding electrode excluding the X holding electrode and the Ag electrode of the Y holding electrode. A dielectric layer(12) having a low dielectric constant is formed between the upper plane of the Ag electrode of the Y holding electrode of the adjacent cells from the upper plane of the Ag electrode of the X holding electrode via the upper plane of the black stripe.
