PURPOSE: An automatic differential unlocking device and the method thereof automatically releases a differential lock if a vehicle runs faster than a predetermined speed, thereby preventing the abnormal wear of a tire and the damage of a rearward power transmitting device. CONSTITUTION: An automatic differential unlocking device comprises a differential lock switch unlocking member(11) and a vehicle speed perceiving member. If a vehicle runs faster than a predetermined speed on a differential lock state on a flat road after passing through a rough road, the differential lock is automatically released by intercepting the electric power applied to a pneumatic solenoid valve(7) by using a relay(11) for releasing the contact of a differential lock switch(9) according to a vehicle speed signal. Thus, the abnormal wear of a tire and the damage of a rearward power transmitting device generated on high speed turning is prevented. |
