PURPOSE: A lithium ion polymer battery pack is provided which is a compact structure and prevents an excess current and an overheat of the battery by adopting a PTC device. CONSTITUTION: The lithium ion polymer battery pack(300) comprises: (i) a battery assembly(100) comprising a space part, a case formed along the border of the space part to close the space part and an electrode assembly prepared by laminating a plural anode plates, separators and cathode plates in sequence; (ii) a protective circuit module(310) which is installed on one side of the battery assembly and has terminals(106, 107), which are respectively connected to the battery assembly and an electronic instrument mounting the battery assembly to communicate an electric current; (iii) a tubing member(200) which is formed on the outside of the battery assembly with covering the outside of the battery assembly and the protective circuit module; (iv) a PTC device(320) which is closely installed on the surface of the battery assembly to cut off an excess current and an overheat of the battery assembly; and (v) an armoring member(302) which exposes an outside contact terminal connected to the electrode terminal of the battery assembly to the outside and seals the above elements hermetically.
