PURPOSE: A remote control device is provided to control a satellite broadcasting receiver placed beyond the control scope of a remote control transmitter by the remote control transmitter without an additional wireless transceiver. CONSTITUTION: A remote control device a remote control transmitter, the first transmission part, the first reception part. The remote control transmitter generates a control signal for controlling the first and second electric home appliances. The first transmission part is provided with the first remote control signal receiving part and a wire control signal generating part. The first remote control signal receiving part is installed in the first electric home appliances and receives a remote control signal from a remote control transmitter. The wire control signal generating part generates a wire control signal in the form of a high frequency signal to control the second electric home appliances in response to the control signal of the first remote control signal receiving part and outputs the wire control signal through the wire. The first reception part is provided with a wire control signal receiving part and a control part. The wire control signal receiving part is installed in the second electric home appliances and receives the wire control signal and the control part controls the operation of the second electric home appliances according to the wire control signal of the wire control signal receiving part.
