METHOD FOR SENSING TRANSFER JAM OF LIQUID ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC COLOR PRINTER

PURPOSE: A transfer jam sensing method for a liquid electrophotographic color printer is provided to precisely sense all kinds of paper jam generated in a transfer roll to stop the operation of the printer and inform a user of the kind of the generated paper jam, thereby preventing the serious fail of parts due to the paper jam and removing a paper in case of the paper jam. CONSTITUTION: a transfer jam sensing method for a liquid electrophotographic color printer includes a paper advance sensing sensor(100) mounted at a front end of a transfer roll(41) for sensing whether a printing paper(60) is advanced to the transfer roll, a plurality of conveying rolls(102) axially mounted to a transfer part paper guide(101) at a rear end of the transfer roll for rotating forward and backward by a transmitted paper, a pressing roll assembly(110) mounted on the conveying roll for pressing the printing paper to rotate the conveying roll by the printing paper, and a sensing element(120) for sensing whether the conveying roll rotates or not and a rotation direction of the conveying roll to determine whether a paper jam is generated or not.
