PURPOSE: A sudden starting prevention device for a vehicle is provided to forcibly stop the engine rotation by shutting off the ignition current supplied to an ignition plug of an engine in case of a sudden starting, thereby preventing the vehicle accidents due to the sudden starting. CONSTITUTION: A sudden starting prevention device for a vehicle includes a vehicle wheel speed sensor line(4), a brake signal line(2), and a gear position signal line(3) coupled with a microprocessor(6), a shutoff relay(7) for forcibly shutting off the current of an IG output line(5) which supplies an engine ignition current when the microprocessor determines a sudden starting, and a voice synthesizer(9) for generating voice for explaining the engine stop reason.
