PURPOSE: A device and a method for measuring and analyzing Internet traffic based on ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) are provided to prevent the change of network traffic, by using a manual network monitor, and to measure traffic in a high-speed Internet link and perform qualitative and quantitative analysis for the measured traffic. CONSTITUTION: In a traffic measuring device(200), a traffic measurer server communication unit(209) communicates with a traffic analyzing device(100). A traffic measurer control unit(210) controls the traffic measurer server communication unit(209). A traffic measuring result storage unit(211) stores measured traffic. A traffic measuring unit(212) measures traffic during a measure time designated in the traffic measurer control unit(210), for supply to the traffic measuring result storage unit(211). In the traffic analyzing device(100), a user interface unit(201) outputs results on a screen for a user. A user input control unit(202) processes information inputted by a user in the user interface unit(201). A traffic measurer client communication unit(204) communicates with the traffic measurer server communication unit(209). A traffic measurer remote control unit(203) operates the traffic measurer client communication unit(204). A traffic analyzing unit(205) analyzes traffic data from the traffic measuring unit(212). An analysis result storage unit(206) stores data analyzed in the traffic analyzing unit(205). An analysis result report generating unit(207) generates necessary files based on processed data. An analysis result HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language) converting unit(208) displays processed results in an HTML type, for the confirmation of users.
