PURPOSE: Provided are a wastewater treatment method and an apparatus therefor. According to this method, 4.0 weight percent of lime (CaO), 0.1 weight percent of coagulant and 4.8 weight percent of chlorine dioxide are mixed with raw wastewater, and then carbon dioxide is mixed to conduct reaction between wastewater and carbon dioxide for 30 second, therefore generated calcium carbonate (CaCO3) is coagulated with dissolved pollutant and suspended solids. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus consists of a chemical mixing tank (1), into which raw wastewater and chemicals are injected from a raw wastewater injecting tank (11) and a chemical injecting tank (12), for mixing with chemicals and raw wastewater by a mixer (13); a storage tank (2) for storing mixed wastewater; a settling tank (3) equipped with an outlet (31) and a drainage (32) for settling pollutant and suspended solids; a chemical reaction part (4) equipped with a screw-shaped reaction pipe (40) and an inlet set at the storage tank (2) and an outlet installed by passing through the settling tank (4); a carbon dioxide supplying part (5) consisting of a first aeration pipe (52) and a second aeration pipe connected with a carbon dioxide tank (51) for supplying carbon dioxide into the storage tank (2) and the reaction pipe (40).
