PURPOSE: A web-based management method of a network equipment having different versions is provided to implement an effective management of a network equipment having different versions by including a certain character stream into a web document, transferring to a web server, calling and executing a corresponding function when the characteristic included in the we document is detected in a corresponding web server and expressing different result values and image based on a version of the network equipment. CONSTITUTION: When a web document including a certain character stream which requests information for a management of a network equipment is transferred to a network equipment based on "GET or POST" method(S41), a web server of the network equipment parses a character stream included in the web document transferred from a web browser(S42), and it is confirmed whether a certain character stream is detected for expressing different result values or image based on a version of a corresponding network equipment(S43). A corresponding CGI function is called and executed based on a cooperation with a CGI execution unit(S44). An image of a corresponding version is linked to a certain character stream position(S45). The web server transfers a web document to which an image is linked to the web browser(S46).
