STATOR FIXING STRUCTURE FOR LINEAR MOTOR FOR USE IN COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE: A stator fixing structure for linear motor for use in compressor is provided to maintain concentricity and cylindricity of the stator by restricting each stator core in radial direction, while achieving a significantly improved rigidity of the stator. CONSTITUTION: An outer stator forms a square C-shaped stator core by combining a pair of inverse L-shaped stator core and L-shaped stator core, wherein each stator core has stopper protrusions, respectively, formed at the outer surface of the bent portion of each stator core. A support ring(13) is inserted at the inner periphery of the circumference connecting stopper protrusions of stator cores. The support ring has at an upper or rear surface thereof a fixing plate(14) for pressing each stator core from both side surfaces of the stator core. The support ring has a plurality of grooves(13a) formed at the upper surface of the support ring and the fixing plate has a plurality of protrusions(14a) formed to correspond to the grooves so as to maintain tight contact between the support ring and stopper protrusions of stator cores.
