METHOD, SYSTEM, AND STORING MEDIUM FOR MAKING AND IDENTIFYING COOPERATING SYSTEM IMAGE GROUPS

PURPOSE: A method, system, and storing medium for making and identifying associating system image groups is provided to generate and identify different kinds of cooperating system images in a single machine, single central processor complex(CPC). CONSTITUTION: A CHPID(Channel Path ID) entry of a CHPID name index record is checked for retrieving an LPC(Logical Partition Cluster) name corresponding to an active LPC name record(503). If the LPC name exists, the LPC name is compared with an LPC name located in a target IOCDS(Input Output Configuration Dataset) for a corresponding CHPID(507). If the names are matched, a process is continuously to a next CHPID(504,502). If the names are not matched, an active forming command is ended as an error(508).
