PURPOSE: An internet telephony gateway system for providing a No.7 signaling method is provided to offer various intelligent application services to subscribers by providing a No.7 signaling method, a common line signaling method, in setting up call control. CONSTITUTION: A network for the internet communication service of an internet telephony gateway system for a No.7 signaling method is composed of a main process board(20), a trunk board(30) and a voice processing board(40). The main process board(20), connected with an external operator terminal, controls the internet call processing of the trunk board(30), and a voice processing board(40) using control signals according to a system clock, while maintaining and managing the internal status of the trunk board(30), and the voice processing board(40). The trunk board(30) connects a signaling link with a public communication network and processes a No.7 signaling method. After extracting pure PCM voice data and signal data received through a trunk line, the trunk board(30) transport the PCM voice data to the voice processing data(40) and generates a packet necessary for No.7 signaling method using the signal data. The voice processing board(40) compresses the PCM voice data extracted by the trunk board(30) in the form of a required packet and transmits the compressed data to the Internet through an ethernet. The voice processing board(40) exchanges board status and control messages with the main process board(20) in a header/tail method.
