PURPOSE: Provided is a manufacturing method of tetrahydro-4-(3-(4-fluorophenyl)thio)phenyl-2H-pyran-4-carboxamide useful as a 5-lipoxygenase inhibitor. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method comprises the steps of: (a) leaving tetrahydro-4-(3-bromo- or iodo-phenyl)-2H-pyran-4-nitrile of the formula(3aa) and 4-fluorothiophenol of the formula(4aa) in a solvent containing C2-7 linear or branched aliphatic alcohol, in the presence of strong base, and additionally in the presence of transition metal catalyst containing palladium complex to form reaction mixture; and (b) heating the reactant mixture to manufacture a compound of the formula(2aa) and separating it.
