TOXIC GAS CONTROLLING AND FILTER REGENERABLE GAS SCRUBBER FOR FLUE GAS TREATMENT AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: Disclosed is a gas scrubber for flue gas treatment, which is able to control the toxic gases and regenerate the filter. The toxic gas is adsorbed on the ion exchange filter material by using the gas scrubber and simultaneously the regeneration solution is recycled to regenerate the filter. CONSTITUTION: The scrubber system is mainly composed of a cation- and an anion- exchange filters having functional groups by an irradiation of radioactive beam or electronic beam on polyolefin and a self regeneration system. An ion exchange filter (4) prepared with non-woven fabric is used to operate under the low pressure drop condition (below 100 Pa). The regeneration solution storage (2) installed at the lower part of the filter (4) contains 3-4 % of sulfuric acid for a cation exchange filter and Na2O3 for an anion exchange filter. The solution flows into the filter system through a distributor (19) by a pump (9). After the ion exchange with the filter (4), the regeneration solution is recycled into the storage (2). A controller (8), a leveler (12), and an exhaust valve (13,14) are used to operate the system, smoothly.
