PURPOSE: A transfer film stopping device of a wire printer is provided to generate a stopping operation of a transfer film by adsorbing the transfer film by a suction valve for carry out the printing work at a high speed without any break of the transfer film by slipping the transfer film above a predetermined tension, thereby improving the productivity. CONSTITUTION: In a transfer film stopping device of a wire printer including a main body(1), a film roll mounted at a side of the main body, a plurality of guide rollers, rotation wheel, and a lifting roller, guide rollers(6,6') are formed in a section of the film roll and the rotation wheel vertically with a predetermined interval, a box-shaped main body(7) is formed with an opened top part in a space part between the guide rollers, a plurality of suction holes(8,8') are formed at a side of the box-shaped main body, and a cover(10) having a suction nozzle(9) at an upper part is coupled at the top part of the box-shaped main body to seal the case.
