PURPOSE: A square-shaped closed battery is provided which accomplishes high capacity battery and minimizes the product inferiority generated from an assembly process of the battery. CONSTITUTION: The square-shaped closed battery comprises: (i) a can(4) which receives an electrode group(2) winding an anode, a cathode and a separator with an electrolytic solution; (ii) a cap assembly(18) which is bonded to and sealed up with the opening of the can; and (iii) an insulator(22) which is installed between the electrode group and the cap assembly and comprises a plate(22a), a bead(22b) protruded from the surface of the plate and a hole(22c) penetrating through the plate, where a tap(16), which electrically connects one electrode of the electrode group with a drawing terminal(14), and passes through at least one hole.
