DEVICE FOR ROUTING CELL BETWEEN BASE TRANSCEIVER STATION AND EXCHANGE

PURPOSE: A device for routing a cell between a BTS(Base Transceiver Station) and an exchange is provided to discriminate an AAL2(ATM Adaptation Layer-2) cell and an AAL5 cell to be interfaced with a corresponding cell bus. CONSTITUTION: An ALPA(ATM Low speed subscriber Physical layer interface board Assembly)(200) block is interfaced with the base station in a TDM(Time Division Multiplexing) digital transmission protocol, so as to transfer an ATM cell transmitted between the base station and an ATM exchange to the other party, by discrimination according to mutually different service characteristics. An ALTA(ATM Low speed Traffic control board Assembly) block(100) is interfaced with the ATM exchange in an STM(Synchronous Transfer Mode) system. And an APPA(AAL2(ATM Adaptation Layer-2) termination board) block(300) converts the ATM cell transferred from the ALTA block into another service characteristic of a cell.
