PURPOSE: A spare tire carrier for a vehicle make a driver conveniently take out and mount a spare tire. CONSTITUTION: A "U" type member(13) of a spare tire carrier for a vehicle comprises a working portion(14a) and a guiding portion(14b) on both arms(14) thereof, respectively. The working portion(14a) of a hollow pipe type is connected with a middle arm(15). The guiding portion(14b) connected to a hinge member(12) and inserted in the working portion(14a) guides the movement of the working portion(14a). Thus, the arms(14) are extendable/retractable, longitudinally. Therefore the spare tire is taken out or loaded at the rear side of a vehicle body.
