PURPOSE: A sub-screen information display method is provided to display PIP screen and a channel name(or number) of a broadcasting program on a main video screen in case of displaying a PIP screen or changing PIP channel. CONSTITUTION: A broadcasting information is detected and stored. It is determined whether a PIP screen display starts or not. In case of displaying the PIP screen, it is determined whether PIP channel is changed or not. If the beginning of the PIP screen display or the change of the PIP channel is determined, the PIP screen of a corresponding channel is displayed at the same time the information of the broadcasting program displayed on the PIP screen is read and then displayed on the screen. Thereby, a viewer can check a content of a broadcasting program displayed on a sub-screen. |
