PURPOSE: A knock type writing implement is provided which is operated by moving a vibration member forward and backward by means of shaking the outer case of the writing implement. CONSTITUTION: The knock type writing implement comprises: the outer case(10); a core(2) of the writing implement inserted in the outer case(10), which has a tip(6) and at least one projections(4) apart from the tip(6); a cap(26) to protect the tip(6); an elastic member(28) mounted between the cap(26) and the projections(4), which applies force to the core(2) of the writing implement in the opposite direction against the cap(26); the vibration member(50) mounted movably and longitudinally on the opposite side against the tip(6); a knocking means mounted between the projections(4) and the vibration member(50), wherein the core(2) is moved forward by impacting firstly the vibration member to the knocking means and the core(2) is moved backward by impacting secondly the vibration member to the knocking means.
