PURPOSE: A vessel for treating contaminated liquid is provided, which relieves plugging of the vessel and increases operating efficiency more than an existing treating vessel or clarifier by separating heavy contaminants in the treating vessel. CONSTITUTION: The vessel for treating contaminated liquid as a treating vessel for separating heavy contaminants from the basic liquid treated comprises a cylindrical part (13) having a center axis and the most upper end; a conical area (15) positioned adjacent to the lower end part of the cylindrical part and having an arranged bottom outlet for discharging heavy contaminants from the treating vessel; a purified liquid source derived from the treating vessel or another treating vessel in the treating system; and at least one purified liquid inlet arranged at the conical area of the treating vessel or the side surface of the treating vessel for reintroducing the liquid purified from the adjacent purified liquid source into the treating vessel, wherein the purified liquid is reintroduced so that the purified liquid induces circulation flow downwardly so as to wash the conical area and helps remove heavy contaminants accumulated adjacently to the bottom outlet of the treating vessel.
