PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing multilayer cholesteric film is provided to better control reflection wave, so performing a mass production and reducing costs. CONSTITUTION: In the processing, a cholestic film with one wavelength is coated first and is polymerizeed, and then is coated with a second cholestic film and polymerized. In the device, transfer of un-polymerized material between layers adjacent to each other during preparation of single layer is minimized for the multilayer cholesteric film obtainable by the process and further minimized for the process of preparing an optical element, e.g. a polarizing plate, a compensation device, an alignment layer, color filter or holography element, and for the usage of the multilayer cholesteric film in decoration and liquid crystal pigment so as to provide usage for the decoration and security.
