PURPOSE: A chart processing method of a network management system based on an automatic update function is provided to detect a change in a network management data and automatically update the chart. CONSTITUTION: When a network manager instructs a chart concerning a check data from a network, a network management system displays a corresponding chart on a monitor screen using an initial data(S210). The network management system is connected with transfer apparatuses of a management destination network and receives network check data from the transfer apparatuses. The check data are periodically inputted, and a performance management module records into a database of a recording apparatus like a hard disk of a network management system(S220). The network management system compares the check data which are recently received from the network and the check data recorded in the database whether two data are same or not(S230). As a result of the comparison, the network management system updates the chart using the recent check data in case that the recently received check data are different from the previous check data(S240).
