PURPOSE: A compressor is provided to reduce parts count and simplify assembling procedure by forming the retainer integrally with the head cover, while reducing flow loss of the fluid by eliminating a valve seat groove from the plate. CONSTITUTION: A compressor comprises a plate(6) having a discharge port(2) for discharging fluid by the reciprocation of the piston, and an outlet port(4) for flowing out the pressurized fluid; a valve body(8) mounted onto the discharge port of the plate so as to open/shut off the discharge port; an elastic member(12) mounted onto the valve body and which provides a predetermined elastic force to the valve body; a retainer(16) mounted onto the elastic member and which supports the valve body and the elastic member; and a head cover(14) which is bolt-coupled onto the plate.
