DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SERIAL COMMUNICATION OF MULTI-PROCESSOR

PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling a serial communication of a multi-processor are provided to perform a serial communication with a wanted processor in accordance with a user's request when a plurality of processors are used in one board. CONSTITUTION: A terminal(100) is provided for inputting a user's request. The first input terminal(200) transmits data outputted from the terminal(100). The second input terminal(300) outputs a signal in accordance with an input by the user. A control unit(400) controls a plurality of processors in accordance with outputs of the first input terminal(200) and the second input terminal(300). The first input terminal(200) consists of a RS-232C port for transmitting data outputted from the terminal(100) to the control unit(400). The second input terminal(300) consists of a push button for generating a pulse to the control unit(400) in accordance with a user's input or not. The elements of the control unit(400) are described as follows. A counter(401) counts a pulse generated at a signal application from the second input terminal(300). A rotor(402) loads the data transmitted from the first input terminal(200) to a main internal memory. A comparator(403) judges whether the data outputted through the rotor(402) are normal data. A multiplexer(404) receives and multiplexes an output of the comparator(403). A status managing unit(409) controls a driving of the first to the fourth processors(405¯408) in accordance with the output of the multiplexer(404).
