PURPOSE: A device of a door lock of high frequency card type and a method for controlling thereof are provided to reduce consumption of electric power in the waiting mode and to transmit the information about the condition of a door lock to a user efficiently. CONSTITUTION: In the device of a door lock of high frequency card type and the method for controlling thereof, a body(500) and an RF card(400) are included. The RF card(400) stores the registration code of the user and outputs the registration code information by the RF transmission signal of the body(500). The body(500) stores the body set up code and outputs the RF transmission signal only in approaching of the RF card(400). The body(500) is composed of a controller(51), an RF signal transmitting/receiving portion(52), a modulating/amplifying portion(53), a power supplying portion(54), a timer(55), a memory portion(56), a solenoid(57), a voice signal output portion(58), a fire sensing sensor(59) and an infrared rays sensing sensor(60). The RF card(400) is composed of an integrated circuit(41), a condenser(42) and a diode(43).
