PURPOSE: A channel interference eliminator using a co-channel dual-polarization system, and a method for designing and extending a cell using the same are provided to enhance transmission efficiency using a co-channel system, so as to efficiently use limited frequency resources. CONSTITUTION: An XPI(Cross-Polarization Interference) eliminating function is established in a receiving unit of a wireless communication system, to eliminate signal interference. The signal interference is generated as mutually independent V-POL(Vertical Polarization) and H-POL(Horizontal Polarization), existing in a frequency band of a channel allocated to an identical sector in one cell, are crossed. The independent V-POL and H-POL are assigned, in the frequency band of the channel allocated to the identical sector in one cell, through the XPI eliminating function.
