An ink-jet head using a bimorph driver is disclosed. The head comprises a compartment (6) communicating with a nozzle (9) for storing ink, and a bimorph driver provided with a piezoelectric element (1) and a diaphragm (2) to apply pressure to the compartment (6). The bimorph driver has three fixed sides and one free side. Since one side of the piezoelectric element of the bimorph driver is open, tensile stress can be released while preventing pressure leakage. Therefore, even a narrow piezoelectric element can produce a displacement and pressure required to spray ink drops, resulting in a high-density multiple-nozzle head.
|
