A benzyl tetralin represented by general formula (I), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or prodrug thereof where X is selected from the group consisting of halogen, C1-6 alkyl optionally substituted by at least one halogen, a fused bicyclic hydrophobic ring system and phenyl optionally substituted by at least one halogen; Y is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and halogen; or X and Y together form the residue of a carbocyclic ring.
