METHOD FOR PRODUCING COMPONENTS OF INTERIOR FITTINGS IN MOTOR VEHICLES

The invention relates to a method for producing components of interior fittings in motor vehicles. Said components have a defined surface profile. In a first step, the material (1) that forms the visible surface is positioned in a tool cavity and is deformed under the influence of pressure and/or temperature and the desired surface stamp is simultaneously produced. In an additional step, a carrier material (2) on the basis of natural fibre-reinforced polymer materials is inserted into the tool cavity and is subsequently deformed, whereby edge areas of the material (1) are not covered with the carrier material (2). The component of interior fittings is subsequently removed from the tool cavity after the edge areas of the material (1) have been bent.
